Bella Swan is the main character of the Twilight series, a novel released in 2005 by Stephanie Meyer. Twilight tells the story of a lonely girl in an isolated town and the vampire that falls in love with her. A movie adaptation of the book was released in 2008 in which Bella Swan was played by actress Kristen Stewart. The character Bella does not use make-up or style her hair. It is typically left down with a natural wave.
- Skill level:
Things you need
- Brown hair dye
- 1-inch curling iron
- Shine serum
- Sea salt (optional)
- Spray bottle (optional)
Cut or grow out your hair depending on its current length. In the Twilight series, Bella has hair that ends just above the breast with a natural curl. If you have to curl your hair to get wave, it should be slightly longer as the curls will shorten it.
Dye your hair brown. Bella Swan is described as having dark mahogany brown hair that in the sunlight has a tint of red. The colour should look natural.
Shampoo and condition hair. Leave conditioner in for 3 minutes then wash out. Part hair down the middle. If you have a natural wave to your hair, let it air dry and avoid touching it. If your hair is straight, combine a spoonful of sea salt and a cup of water in a spray bottle. Lightly mist damp hair and let it air dry. The salt water mixture will give hair a textured wave like after a day at the beach.
Heat a curling iron. Curl 1-inch sections of hair, holding for 5 seconds. Let curls cool. Brush fingers through cooled curls to soften them.
Place a dime-sized amount of shine serum in your palm and rub hands together. Smooth shine serum to the ends of your hair only. Applying it all over may make hair look greasy.
