How to get waves with sportin' waves pomade

Updated February 21, 2017

Few people are born with hair that they absolutely love that behaves exactly as they wish it would all of the time. If many people had this type of hair, the hair care and air product industry would not be booming. Sportin Waves pomade is a type of ultra strong hair gel designed specifically for curly hair. The product helps to transform tightly coiled hair that has a tendency to get frizzy to flat, controlled waves.

Wash and condition your hair as usual. Towel dry your hair vigorously, until it is just slightly damp, but not sopping wet.

Press your forefinger and middle finger together and scoop out a moderate to generous amount of the pomade, depending on how much hair you have. Use more for longer hair.

Rub your hands together, warming and distributing the pomade between your hands. Work the pomade through your hair, so that it's evenly allocated.

Mold your hair against your scalp with a comb in the desired wave formation, using the direction of your natural curls as a guide. Once satisfied, wrap a silk scarf around your head and sleep on your hair. The pomade will set perfectly overnight.

If you don't have time to allow the pomade to set overnight, allow it to set for at least 30 minutes.
