Hello, my name is Kasey Grantham with Chez Elle Salon and Spa, and today I'm going to show you a really simple easy way to do a half up do style. What you'll need for today is some hairspray, some bobby pins, a clippie and a curling iron. I choose this one because it has a glove and it's easier for me to maneuver plus you can buy it at any discount retail store. Alright, let's get started. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to section my hair off and use my clip and then I'm just going to pull my hair around to the front. At this point you can use some hairspray if you feel like you want to really reinforce that curl before you do it. It's up to you. Always make sure your implements are really good and hot. So I'm just going to keep sectioning my hair and dropping more down and producing my curls. I just love the look of these curls, there's just so much more modern. I had one client tell me they were Hollywood curls. I kind of got a kick out of that. Sometimes one gets away so pick it back up and put it back on there. When I do this top section, sometimes I'll take my clippies out but I'd really like to make sure I know what I'm getting. Now I'm not really really concerned if every single curl on my head is completely perfect, I just want the initial curls to be there because we really want them just to be soft and cascade down. We're going to create more volume with the bobby pins that we're actually going to put in. At this point I normally spray it a little but just to kind of reinforce that curl and I'm going to take some hair and actually create curls on top. See how those straight pieces are gone but now it's cascading. So I'm kind of just piling, piling, piling and softening and spraying. That's a really easy little version of just a cascading pretty updo. All I need was some hairspray and some bobby pins. Thanks for watching.
