Hi, I'm Michelle Karam with Dishes by Michelle in Los Angeles, California. I'm here today to talk to you about easy finger food appetizers. When you're having a party, I'm sure the last thing you want to do is be stuck in the kitchen. This is one of those appetizers that will have you in and out in no time. We're going to be making sun-dried tomato ricotta bruschetta. It's easy, everything you have here is store bought and it's fantastically delicious. The ingredients you'll need for this recipe are: one loaf of French bread, store bought pesto, low-fat ricotta cheese and sun-dried tomatoes in olive oil, so let's get started. The first thing we'll do is we will cut our French bread on a bias, on an angle and you'll cut them about an inch thick so let's go ahead and get some slices going. You'll most likely get anywhere between 10 and 12 slices per half a loaf of bread, so you're looking in total at about 24 slices. Okay so now I'm going to go ahead and arrange my slices of bread onto the platter and just go ahead and put them in a nice circle, follow the plate. So the first thing we're going to do is we're going to take about half a teaspoon, or full teaspoon actually, I like pesto, onto our baguette and we're going to put each one and we're just going to give it a little smear. And it's super tasty. There's basil and there's garlic, and pine nuts, and Parmesan, and olive oil, it's tons of flavor that's added to this. The beauty of this appetizer is there are so many different flavors going on and it's basically just from three store bought ingredients. Next thing we're going to do is we're going to take our ricotta cheese and we're going to just put a little dollop on each one of the baguette slices, so...and it's colorful. That's another great thing about this is it's not only appealing to the taste, it's appealing to the eye as well. So go ahead and just put a little dollop on each one. This would also be fantastic for an Italian themed party. If you were ever having like an Italian night at your house, I know that when the Soprano's used to be on, we used to have Italian dinners. Well, I'm trying to think of another Italian themed show right now but I can't but if you were having an Italian themed party, this would be one great appetizer. Alright, and finally here's our last one, our last dollop. The last thing that we're going to do is take a few slices of our sun-dried tomato, and these have also been cured in oil so they do have some additional flavor that's in there. I know they put some chili, some oregano, some basil, and it all just is, makes for a party, a great party. Alright, so let's put a couple of pieces of sun-dried tomato on each one and look at how fantastically easy this is. It truly does not get any easier than this.
