Excessive facial hair is embarrassing for women. Beginning in puberty, hair can grow on a woman's chin, upper lip and on the sides of the face. Luckily, there are plenty of natural remedies to slow the growth of unwanted facial. Before using these remedies, however, speak with your doctor. Excessive facial hair growth in women can be a sign of a serious medical problem.

Healthy Diet

Eat a healthy diet. The University of Maryland Medical Center, recommends a diet rich in fruits and vegetables, lean meats, and healthy cooking oils such as olive and canola, and drinking eight glasses of water a day. This diet slows facial hair growth by controlling or reducing a woman's weight, which decreases hormones associated with facial hair growth.

Spearmint Tea

Drink one cup of spearmint tea twice a day. Spearmint tea reduces testosterone levels in women, which slows facial hair growth.

Scrub and Toner

Scrub your face daily with an all natural cleanser and apply a plant-based toner. According to Home Remedies for Facial Hair, doing this daily slows facial hair growth.

Turmeric and Gram Flour

Mix together equal parts turmeric, gram flour and water until it becomes a paste. Apply to facial hair and rub the cream off once it has dried. When applied consistently, turmeric and gram flour reduce and slow the growth of facial hair.
