Krups is a manufacturer of coffee machines that use a coffee pod to make fresh coffee. Krups also makes machines that use the popular Nespresso capsules as well. Some Krups machines use regular, ground coffee to make espresso. Using a Krups machine depends on the model make and the period in which the machine came out, but there are some universal instructions for the use of the machine that will keep it running for years.
Dip the measuring stick included with your machine to measure the water hardness in your area. Dip the stick in and look at how many red lines appear. Install a filter if there is a high water hardness.
Pull out the water tank from the machine and fill it with water.
Fill the coffee basket with coffee beans. Use 250 grams maximum.
Turn the grinder to the right to make the grounds finer, and left for a larger grind. Press the grind button to make the grounds.
Press the espresso button on the front of the machine to make your coffee. You can make regular espresso, strong, dark and double shots.
Fill the water tank.
Lift up the arm on the top of the machine and insert a pod into the pod bay.
Set a cup under the nozzle and press the espresso button.
Lift the pod bay arm again to release the capsule into the discharge bay.
