How to Clean a Bosch Dishwasher With Vinegar

Updated February 21, 2017

Bosch carries a line of appliances that includes dishwashers. Just as with any other dishwasher unit, mildew, odour and other bacteria accumulate can accumulate in your Bosch appliance over time, leaving you in need of a cleaning routine that effectively removes all build-up and residue without damaging your dishwasher. Avoid cleaning the dishwasher with harsh chemicals, since the appliance washes the dishes and utensils you use to serve and prepare food.

Pour approximately 1 tsp dish soap and 2 cups of hot water into a dishwasher-safe bowl.

Dip a sponge with a nylon scrubbing pad into the soapy water and scrub inside the dishwasher. Scrub the entire dishwasher interior and the rack with the soapy water.

Rinse out the bowl with hot water after cleaning the dishwasher.

Pour 1 cup of white vinegar into the bowl, and set it on the highest shelf of your dishwasher.

Turn on the dishwasher and run a short wash cycle. The vinegar will deodorise the dishwasher and remove any bacteria that may be present.
