Correcting bad behavior in a pet dog can be done with a thin choker at the end of a leash which acts as a "bite" that reminds the dog you are the pack leader. Fix bad behavior and encourage obedience using a leash with a certified dog trainer in this free video on dog ownership.
Hello, my name is Zephyr Clarke-Dolberg, from Miami Dog Training. In this clip we're going to talk about, how to correct the dogs bad behavior. First method of operation, would be a standard slip chain, or a choker, preferably the thinner the gage, the better. But, anyways, when you put the choker on the dog, you want to read P, and the loose end should be hanging down on the left. And basically, what the choker does, is it simulate the dogs bite. So as you, the alpha dog, or the pack leader, you're going to bite the dog just like as a real dog would bite the dog, if he was in a wild in a pack, which is why they understand the language of the leash. So, making a correction with the dog, you want the correction to be fast, a fast action which simulates a bite, something like that, something very sharp and quick. This is Zephyr Clark-Dolberg, and this has been, how to correct bad behavior in dogs.
