In this video clip, I will show you Part 5 of replacing an old electrical switch. Now on a typical switch, it really doesn’t matter which wire is going to which screw. What the switch is doing is it is opening and closing the flow of electricity. So regardless which wire is connected to which screw, if the switch is turned on electricity is flowing through it. If it is turned off, there is no electricity flowing through it. Then we are going to make a small hook with the ground wire and we are going to connect that on to our ground screw and screw it in. Lastly, we are going to push all the wires back into the box and screw our new switch into the wall.
