How to change your soundcloud name

Updated April 17, 2017

The SoundCloud music-sharing website allows users to upload songs to be streamed or downloaded either by anyone online or by specifically chosen individuals. Your set of songs is identified by your SoundCloud username. Unlike some membership sites, though, SoundCloud allows you to change you name if you wish---the process requires only a few clicks.

Go to your SoundCloud settings page.

Click the text box around your username.

Type in your new name, then click elsewhere on the page.

Click the blue pen icon to change your profile link to match your new username (optional). Note that this means that people who try to access your profile using old links (such as ones you provided them) will no longer be able to do so.

Click the "Save" button.
