Disabling a Kyocera printer driver is not necessary to disable the low ink status message. The Status Monitor controls all of the printer's alerts and on-screen messages, which appear in the lower-right corner of your Windows Taskbar or in the Status Monitor display screen. An ink monitoring chip is installed inside both a printer and ink cartridge. These chips relay information back to your computer indicating low ink levels. If you choose to hide or disable the Status Monitor, remember that you will no longer see any warning messages.
