Adobe Reader 9 is an document processing application that allows users transfer files that must not be edited, such as sales contracts or product presentations. You can read and print the document, but cannot change it, which is a helpful security feature. You can also PDF ("pdf" is the file extension assigned to Adobe Reader files) editable documents, such as Word or Excel files. Adobe Reader 9 is distributed by Adobe at no charge and the installation process takes only a few minutes.
Go to the Adobe website (see link in Resources) and click on the "Download" button under "Download the latest version of Adobe Reader."
Click "Save" in the confirmation pop-up to begin the download.
Double-click the saved file and click on "Yes" in the pop-up window to confirm execution.
