How to Make a Chicken Puppet With a Paper Bag

Children do not need expensive toys to have an exciting time playing with friends. They can have just as much fun by making their own toys out of materials that can be found around the house, like brown paper sandwich bags. They can make a farmyard chicken puppet out of a paper bag and put on a puppet show for countless hours of fun.

  • Felt fabric
  • Scissors
  • Craft glue
  • Googly craft eyes
  • Yellow crayon
  • Feathers

Instructions

  1. 1

    Cut out a 1 inch-by-3 inch oval from red felt fabric.

  2. 2

    Place a paper sandwich bag on your hand, and glue the red oval across the top flat side of the bag. This will be the chicken's comb.

  3. 3

    Glue two googly craft eyes on the bottom flap of the bag underneath the comb. These will be the eyes of the chicken.

  4. 4

    Colour the edge of the bottom flap yellow for the chicken's beak.

  5. 5

    Glue brown, white, grey or black feathers over the surface of the bag to complete the chicken puppet.
