When you are trying to locate someone but do not quite have all the information that you need, an online records search may be the answer. With the full name and the birth date of the person you wish to locate you can often get information more easily than if you knew only the name of the person in question, since additional information helps narrow search results. You can often find someone through a quick Internet based search, free of charge.
Access the Internet and visit a website offering free people searches by birth date. Options include People Search Now and DOB Search.
Enter the first and last name of the person you are searching for in the provided boxes. If you know the city, state and zip code of the person in question enter that as well. If you don't know where the person lives, choose the "All States" option in the drop-down menu under "State."
Enter the birth date of the person you are searching for, using the drop-down menus for month, day and year. Some sites ask you to enter the age of the person as well.
Click "Search" to launch the person search. Wait for results to appear. This may take only seconds or may be longer, depending on how much information has to be searched.
View the results page when it appears on your screen. The results page will list the person (or persons) who matches the name and birth date you searched. The location of the person in question is listed under "City, State." In some cases, a list of former known locations is also listed.
While a free online birth date search can give you the geographic location of a person, you cannot obtain an exact street address for free. Most sites charge a fee, ranging from £1.20 ($1.95) (for full address, phone number and list of relatives) to £32.40 (49,95) (all known information on the person, including criminal background check) to get more in-depth information.
