- Sharp scissors
Lay the card stock on a clean, flat surface.
Measure an area of card stock that is 6 inches long and 4 inches wide. Mark the outline with the ruler and pencil for straight seams.
Cut out the area with sharp scissors.
Fold the rectangle in half, making two equal cards of 3 inches each.
Write the guest's name on one side of the card stock with a calligraphy pen. Write it in pencil first if you want to test your writing.
Stand the card up at the place setting.
