Disney's "Finding Nemo" is a very popular kid's movie. Therefore, it's no surprise that children across the country often ask parents for a Nemo themed birthday party. While there are oodles of Nemo decorations, party favors and paper products, there aren't any Nemo cake pans anywhere. However, with a little creativity, you can make a Nemo cake that's sure to awe both your child and your guests.

Take your 13 inch by 15 inch cake board or thick cardboard and wrap it with tin foil.

Mix your boxed cake mix with all of the ingredients according to the recipe on the back of the box.

Spray your football cake pan with non-stick cooking spray if the directions on the pan require you to. Pour the cake mix into the football cake pan and bake at the appropriate temperature.

Allow the cake to cool and remove the cake from the pan and set on top of your cake board. The football cake becomes Nemo's body.

Outline on the cake board a top fin, bottom fin and tail with your black piping gel. Outline a 1 inch stripe on the tail closest to Nemo's body and one separating his body and head. Pipe a 3 inch stripe 1/3 of the way from the back of his body.

Separate 3 cups of your white butter cream frosting and mix it with orange food coloring.

Smooth the white frosting to make an eye and use your black piping gel to create a pupil.

Put one of your #18 decorator tips inside of a decorator bag so that the end pops out of the opening. Spoon in your remaining white frosting and pipe stars to fill in the stripes.

Take your other #18 decorator tip inside another decorator bag and fill it with 3/4 of the orange frosting. Fill in the rest of the body with orange stars.

Use your #3 decorator tip inside your final bag and take the left over orange frosting to pipe lines inside of the fins and tail.

Tip

Use your own cake recipe instead of a boxed cake if you desire.
