Hi, this is Yolanda Vanveen, and in this segment we're going to talk about, how to grow new grass fast. Well we always want a new yard to look lush and beautiful immediately, we don't want to wait. So the only way to have the grass grow very quickly, is to start it when the grass grows quickly. So if you start your lawn in the middle of summer or the middle of winter when it's really cold, it won't grow very quickly, it'll just sit and wait for it warms up or wait for it to cool down in the fall. So the easiest way to grow grass fast is to start it in April or May when the nights are starting to warm up, or start it in September, October when the nights are still warm enough and not freezing yet, and that way you put some grass seed down over what you already have, or put some compost down or potting soil down over the spots that don't look good, and the grass will grow lush and beautiful right away. Make sure and give it lots and lots of water, and don't start it in the heat of the summer or the cold of the winter, only start it in the spring and the fall. You'll find that your grass will grow very quickly without any fertilizers.
