Writing and performing a persuasive speech can be a challenge, especially if you are nervous speaking in front of a crowd. A persuasive speech needs to convince your audience what you are saying is correct and to follow the course of action you lay out in your speech. However, no one said the speech had to be serious. Having a good, funny, persuasive speech can help take some of the apprehension you feel with public speaking off your shoulders.

Why (Insert Team) Will Win the (Insert Event) This Year
This doesn't necessarily sound like a humorous title, but, when everyone has their own opinion on sports and you bring in embarrassing facts from the previous year, it can get people going. The funniest thing is when a sports team came in dead last season -- speak about of all the horrible things they did and how those instances can actually be an advantage to them as a team this season. If the audience knows what you're talking about, they will be with you 100 per cent.
Communicating Between Men and Women
Just mentioning a topic like this is guaranteed to get a giggle from the crowd. It plays to the fact that, for the most part, men and women really don't understand each other. The whole speech can be based on the stereotypes between the two genders. For example, a stereotype says that, when a woman says one thing, she means something completely different. Or, that a man is essentially a dumb animal with only sex on his mind. If approached the correct way, this topic should get the audience laughing.
This is a great persuasive speech if you want to use visuals. The whole speech can be based on the horrible outfits people wear and the advice you and the audience could give to fix it. This is good to do during the entertainment awards season, as you can talk about all of the awful outfits celebrities wear. Or, it can simply be done by taking some pictures of students around school and speak of who's got it right and who's got it wrong.
Wearing Pajamas in Bed Is Good for Your Health
It seems like an obvious topic, but think about the other ways people will sleep in bed every night, such as in underwear, in clothes, in a long T-shirt and nude. Broaching these different ways of sleeping and arguing against them in favour of pyjamas can be quite humorous. For example, talk about how many people drop into bed after a long day at work still wearing their business suits. The image alone can get the crowd laughing.
Ten Ways to Annoy People
If you think about this one long enough, you can easily come up with at least ten ways to annoy someone. Write them down with explanations, and prepare to demonstrate at least a few of them -- there is no way you won't get laughter out of your audience. Persuade them that trying these annoying things is healthy because laughter is healthy. Or, you can persuade them the opposite because people who are easily annoyed can quickly turn against you.
