A staggering walk and ripped clothing costume combines with simple face make-up to create a zombie costume anyone can pull off. The trademark look of zombies includes pale, undead skin with a green tinge, dark shadows under the eyes and dribbles of blood and brain matter down your chin. A slightly more elaborate look can include open sores on your skin, created with make-up putty and fake blood. Dress yourself before applying your make-up so that you don't smear your zombie look.

Instructions

  1. 1

Apply a base coat of white make-up over your entire face, including your lips. Pat the make-up on with a triangular make-up sponge in a thin layer. You want your skin to have an undead pallor, but not be bright white.

  2. 2

Add a green tinge by patting green make-up base over the white base. Apply this layer even more lightly than the white layer -- focusing on the cheek and forehead area.

  3. 3

Draw heavy black shadows around your eyes with the eyeliner pencil. Begin at the inner corner of the upper lid and trace a thick line around the entire bottom and lower lashes.

  4. 4

Extend the eye shadows with black eyeshadow. Use a make-up brush or cotton swab to draw a 1/2-inch ring around your eyes. You can make the shadow heavier in the under eye area, if desired, by dragging the shadow to the top of your cheekbones.

  5. 5

Dribble fake blood from the corners of your mouth down your chin and neck. Choose to use a small amount on either side of your mouth, or cover your lips and the area surrounding them to about 1/2 inch for a more intense blood look.

  6. 6

Add a loose skin look by flattening a small piece of make-up putty between your fingers and attaching it to your skin with eyelash glue. You will need to wipe the make-up base from your desired area to help the piece stick. Once the glue is dry, colour the piece with the white and green make-up base, then dribble fake blood over and around the piece.
