  1. 1

Select black clothing because you will dress in black from neck to toe. Look for a black body suit, or a black one-piece pajama. If your legs are exposed you will need black tights. You will also need black gloves and shoes.

  2. 2

Cut yellow felt into strips. Glue the yellow strips onto your black clothing so you have the black and yellow stripe pattern of a bumble bee. The stripes should be evenly spaced.

  3. 3

Cut a stinger out of cardboard. The stinger should be shaped like a triangle. Paint the stinger black. After the paint has dried cut a slit in the stinger so you can feed a black belt through it and wear the stinger around your waist facing the back.

  4. 4

Use black and yellow pipe cleaners to make antenna. Wrap the black pipe cleaners around a black headband, have them stick straight up after they are attached and wrap the top of each black pipe cleaner with a yellow pipe cleaner and roll the yellow pipe cleaner into a ball.

  5. 5

Draw wings for your bumble bee costume on a piece of black poster-board. To make them symmetrical bend the poster-board in half and draw one wing on the bend so that when you cut the wing and unfold the poster-board you have to identical wings. Use a hole punch to make a hole in the centre of your wings. Attach the wings to the middle back of your costume by clipping a safety pin through the hole.
