  1. 1

Select two glass or plastic champagne flutes that appeal to you. Find inexpensive and simple flutes at your local craft or dollar store.

  2. 2

Decide how you want to decorate your flutes. Select silk flowers, crystal beads, or silk or organza ribbon from your local craft store to dress up your flutes. Select colours that complement your wedding theme. Choose items such as shells and glass beads that reflect your personality and taste. Ensure each item has a small hole that fishing wire can be strung through.

  3. 3

Measure a piece of clear fishing wire equal to the length of the flute's diameter. String the wire through beads and other items you've selected to make a bracelet that will rest along the base of the flute. If using flowers or ribbon, insert a glue stick into a hot glue gun and when the gun is properly heated, affix the ribbon and/or flowers to the flute base with hot glue.

Tie the ribbon around the flute stem and rest the flowers in a pleasing manner around the flute base. When you obtain a look you're satisfied with, secure it with the glue.

Tips and warnings

  • If desired, you can repeat this process for additional flutes, supplying decorated champagne glasses to everyone in your wedding party, or for every guest.
