How to Add a Map File to Tomtom One

The TomTom automotive navigation system needs to update its maps regularly to remain current. Not to mention if you want to take your TomTom to a different country, you would need to purchase and install the appropriate map pack in order for it to function. Fortunately, with your TomTom's included software, TomTom Home, installing a new map is effortless.

Instructions

    Open TomTom Home. You can do this by going to your "Start" menu, clicking all programs, finding its icon, and double clicking it.

    Connect your TomTom One to your computer with its provided USB cord.

  3. 3

    Touch "Yes" on your TomTom touchscreen when it asks if you'd like to connect your TomTom to your computer.

  4. 4

    Wait while TomTom Home automatically installs the maps you have on your computer.
