How to Find Addresses With Phone Numbers

Updated March 23, 2017

If you are looking for an old friend or trying to find out the address for a business and you have the telephone number, you can find the address by letting your fingers do the walking online. You can find an address with a phone number by performing a reverse look up. Many telecommunication companies allow users to perform a reverse look up search online.

Log on to the Internet and visit a company that offers reverse look up services. Such companies as WhitePages, Yellow Pages and Yippee! offer these services (see Resources).

Click the tab "Reverse Look Up or Reverse Phone." Enter the phone number of the address that you want to find in the appropriate field.

Click "Find" and wait for the address and name associated with the phone number to populate on the screen.

Tip

You can always call the phone number and ask for the address.

Warning

You may not be able to find an address with a cell phone number. In some cases, you may have to pay for the address if the information is not published. If this occurs, you may have to hire a private investigator.
