How to make a nappy gift basket

Updated February 21, 2017

If you're not sure what to get a friend for her baby shower, a good solution is to make a nappy gift basket for the mum-to-be. Nappies are a necessary item that go quite quickly and will be appreciated very much, and they make a good backdrop for other baby gifts in a gift basket. Nappies and accessories will certainly come in handy for a new mum.

Purchase a large basket from a hobby or craft store. Other ideas for the "basket" part of the gift are a brightly coloured bucket, large tote bag or nappy bag.

Line the basket with nappies starting from the outside and working your way in. Newborn or size 1 nappies will be best since the baby will use a lot of them in the beginning.

Fill the centre of the nappy circle with other baby gifts. Nappy rash ointment, dummies, baby-grows, shampoo, soaps and lotions are a few ideas. Include something for the mum-to-be, such as bubble bath, a small box of chocolates, decaffeinated coffee or tea.

Decorate the basket by tying lots of ribbons and bows around the handles. Tie rattles or dummies to the ribbons.
