Hello my name is Zephyr Clarke-Dahlberg from Miami Dog Training. In this clip we're going to talk about how to keep your dog from pulling on the leash. First thing we want to remember is that the loop of the leash goes through the right thumb. You come about half way down, and lock it in with your finger. Now you have about two and half feet of leash that the dog has thats strapped across your body. So when I say heel, my left leg pulls the dog along to come. If he goes in front of me, I give him a small correction and turn around. If the dog gets a half a body length in front of me, I'm going to turn around. If he's right next to me and he's a little in front of me, I'm going to give him a small correction, and he's going to drop back a little. Good heel. That's a perfect heel, and that's the way to get your dog to stop from pulling on the leash. This is Zephyr Clarke-Dahlberg and this has been how to keep your dog from pulling on the leash.
