A wedding day is one of the most important occasions in a young woman's life. Her wedding gown is an expression of the bride's sense of style and taste. Using an online program to design a dress puts a personal touch on the gown and ensures that everything from the waistline to the hem length is what the bride wants it to be. From this model, a tailor can assist in creating a bride's dream gown for her special day.

Skill level:

  1. 1

Visit the Wedding Dress Creator online.

  2. 2

Determine which hairstyle you'll wear on your wedding day and use the "Hair style" selection tab to pick the appropriate choice. Be sure to pay attention to the entire hairstyle, whether there are ringlets hanging down or all of the hair is up, as different dresses are more attractive with certain hairstyles.

  3. 3

Determine your hair colour and select it from the coloured squares.

  4. 4

Create the general shape of the gown by using the "Neckline," "Silhouette" and "Sleeves" selection tabs. Keep in mind that certain gown shapes complement certain body types more. For example, brides with a pear shape look most attractive in an A-line or ballroom gown, as it accents the waist and subtracts from the hips.

  5. 5

Decide whether the dress should be accompanied by "Gloves," "Stockings" or "Shoes" with the appropriate tabs. Remember that certain shoes tend to match certain dress lengths. For instance, a small-heeled shoe tends to be more attractive with a knee-length gown than a flat shoe is.

  6. 6

Pick out any jewellery you'll wear from the selection tabs, keeping in mind that certain types of jewellery complement certain necklines better. For example, icicle earrings complement a sleeveless gown more than they do one with large puffy sleeves.

  7. 7

If the bride will have an accompanying piece of clothing such as a cape, sash or belt, add it as well.

  8. 8

Select any accent colours you wish to add to the gown.

  9. 9

Select the bride's skin tone colour.

  10. 10

Once the design is complete, click the blue "Print" button at the bottom of the screen and follow the printer preference step to print your dress design.
