Multimedia messaging service (MMS) is a feature that comes standard on the BlackBerry Curve. However, just because your handset has the capability to use a feature doesn't mean you will be able to. To use MMS on your BlackBerry Curve, you will first have to have the data plan to support it on your mobile contract and then have to configure your handset to use the service.

- Data plan
Contact the customer service department of your mobile carrier to make sure that you have a data plan enabled. You can use MMS service only if you have a data plan. You should also have your mobile carrier resend the service books for the MMS to your BlackBerry Curve.
Turn on your BlackBerry Curve and navigate to the "Options" menu on the applications page. Once inside the menu, click "MMS."
Complete your MMS configuration. Choose "Always" in the drop-down menu next to "Multimedia Reception" and "Automatic Retrieval." Under "Notifications," place a check mark next to the confirmation notices you would like to send or receive about your MMS. Under "Message Filtering," choose whether you would also like to receive anonymous messages and advertisements through MMS.
Click the menu button and choose "Save."

- If you have any trouble using finding MMS on your BlackBerry Curve, it can mean that the service books are missing. Log into your BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS) or call your mobile carrier to have the service books resent.
