You can find a home or business address using only its longitude and latitude, which is a precise, unique location. Each building has its own latitude and longitude, which is useful for pilots and military personnel, but is not really used in everyday life. There are some free websites available that will help you discover the address of a set of coordinates. While they may not have addresses for every tiny house in the world, they have a database that maps out most major cities.

Skill level:

  1. 1

Go to the free Steve Morse website (see Resources).

  2. 2

Enter your latitude and longitude in the two boxes.

  3. 3

Hit "Determine Address" to get your address.

  4. 4

Copy the address and paste it into Mapquest to see where it's located on a map.

  1. 1

Go to the Google Maps website.

  2. 2

Type in the latitude and longitude where it says "Search Maps" at the top. Use this format: <latitude, longitude>. Hit "Search Maps" to get a location.

  3. 3

Click the link that says "Get directions to here" in the pop-up box.

  4. 4

Type in any address in the "From" box and Google Maps will give you the exact address of your coordinates.
