Updated April 17, 2017

Beeswax is an excellent choice when it comes to weatherproofing boots, it not only makes the boots look good but it also will help to keep water out. Beeswax is relatively inexpensive and can be found at your local Walmart or crafts store. Find out how to use beeswax on boots by following the steps below.

Lay newspaper on a flat surface to keep the wax from dripping and making a mess. Brush the boots vigorously with the boot brush to get them as clean as possible and set them on the newspaper.

Melt the beeswax in a melting pot over low heat until it becomes a liquid. Dip the boot brush into the melted beeswax and apply a thick layer of wax to each boot.

Brush each boot vigorously creating heat with a clean boot brush, this will help to make the boot shine.
