Create a calendar in Word with help from a computer applications consultant in this free video about using desktop publishing software.
Hi I'm Tracy Prentiss of Montague, Massachusetts and I'm going to show you how to make a calendar in Microsoft Word 2007. Microsoft makes available to us many templates for calendars. Click on your office menu button and choose new to bring up the new document dialog box. In the list of categories at the left choose calendars and then choose the year for which you need to create a calendar. You will be presented with many different designs that you can choose from, select the calendar you like, click the download button and a new document based on that template will open. Basically calendars are tables that have been formatted for you. To add text to the calendar, go to the month and day that you wish to add information to, press enter to get down on to a new line, and type in the text that you would like to appear. You may select text and change its formatting as you would in any other document as well as add shading and pictures. When you are done with your calendar you are ready to save it and print it, and that is how to create a calendar in Microsoft Word.
