Hi, I'm Gretchen Rivas, with Relax to the Max Massage Therapy, and today, we're going to talk about how to do Ashiatsu, which is the Japanese term for foot pressure, so this is basically a barefoot massage. And when I start I start in a seated position, and I come down the back. And you have to be really careful, and don't do this without some training, cause' this is not for the typical person to be able to do. It took many hours of training to do this and to be certified so that I don't cause any harm on the, on the person who I'm working on them. But Ashiatsu is great if you want some really good deep back pressure that feels really good and gets the back all nice and worked out. Also, I I do the legs too when I do this, but we won't have time to do that on this video clip today. But that is part of the treatment when you do receive an Ashiatsu massage. Go down the the back several times. And this of course, is a very shortened version of everything. All right, you want to turn this up; kind of get around in the scapula area nicely, and then do it; nope, keep your arm up. And we also stand and do some more work on him. And you can imagine if you have a lot of shoulder tension and everything just how good this would feel; to have your back worked on in a nice deep manner like this. Now, put the arm down. Now, if you were going to do something like this at home you, of course, you would want them on the floor. You wouldn't, because you probably don't have bars in your ceiling like I do, so you'd want them on the floor, and you might want to use a little stool or something for balance. But when you're gon, if you're going to do something like this and play around with, make sure you don't step on the spine at all, and that you're only working in an area that's safe. And if you're not sure don't do it. But this is just a little bit of a taste of how we do Ashiatsu.
