Hi, I'm Stan DeFreitas, Mr. Green Thumb, for On Gardening. We've got a plant here called the Panpas Grass. Now I know this plant looks a little bit bedraggled right now, but the beauty is that this plant will grow out of it. It's going to have beautiful Panpas blooms. They're going to look great. So sometimes when you look at the plant at the nursery and you go, nah, it's not as pretty as a rose or a hibiscus, and it's not, it will be. So have faith that you can grow something out that's going to look good. This plant is one of those plants that gets to be large. You can see at the base here you're occasionally going to have to cut off some of these old brown leaves. Take some scissors or take a sharp knife and do that. Remember though, that these are kind of sharp. This is one of those plants you might want to use for crowd control. If you don't want somebody going through your backyard, plant about three or four of these in that area and I guarantee, they're not running through it. This Panpas Grass is going to keep people where you want them. But it's also a great plant and it gives you nice five, six, seven foot plant with plumes up about five or six feet as well. Any good general fertilizer, good full sunlight, super plant. For On Gardening, I'm Stan DeFreitas, Mr. Green Thumb.
