TVersity is a free downloadable media server that allows users to stream files from a computer to other devices. The service includes the ability to enable a Web interface for use with Web browsers. The Web interface allows TVersity to be used from devices that have a Web browser, such as mobile phones and other computers.

Click "Settings" then "General."
Check the box titled "The media server should accept requests originating from outside the home network ... " to connect to TVersity when not connected to your home network. You can then enter a username and password for connecting to the server.
Determine the external IP address of the computer with TVersity running to connect over the Internet or your computer's local IP address if you are going to connect on a home network. Go to whatismyip.org to determine your computer's external IP address. To find out your local address, click "Start," then "Programs," then "Accessories" and then "Command Prompt." Type "ipconfig" and hit enter.
Open a browser on the device you want to stream your media to. Type http://localhost:41952/ to access the Web interface or http://localhost:41952/flashlib to access the Adobe Flash Player Interface. Replace "localhost" with your external IP address to connect through the Internet. Use your local IP address to connect through a home network.
