The Powerpuff Girls is a cartoon series that started in the 1990s. It featured three little girls with superpowers that fought crime. Each girl had a different personality that represented part of the saying "sugar, spice and everything nice." Bubbles was the cute one who wore baby blue and represented sugar. Buttercup was the tough one who wore green and represented spice. Blossom was the smart one and the leader; she wore pink and represented everything nice. Both grown women and young girls can dress as a Powerpuff girl. If you have three people, you can make it a group costume.

  1. 1

Wear a tank dress or tunic in the colour of your favourite Powerpuff girl. If you don't already have one, look for one at a second-hand store or thrift shop.

  2. 2

Fasten a solid black belt around your waist. The belt should be of a wide width. If you don't have a belt, you can tie a wide strip of black fabric around your waist.

  3. 3

Style your hair like the Powerpuff girl you are dressing as. For Blossom, cut a 24-inch section of red ribbon and tie the ribbon into a bow. Put your hair half up in a ponytail holder and half down. Secure the bow to the ponytail in the back of your hair with hair clips. For Bubbles, put your hair in pigtails with two ponytail holders. Buttercup wears her hair down with the bottoms flipped up with a curling iron.

  4. 4

Put on a pair of white knee high socks. Wear a pair of black ballet flats or Mary Jane shoes.
