The Casio CTK-401 electronic keyboard is a multifunctional musical instrument with a 100-song bank and multiple tones, rhythms and tempos. It comes with an AC adaptor for electrical power and also a headphone jack. The main electronic display shows you the tone, rhythm, status, tempo, volume and chords. Keep the rhythm and song bank lists handy while playing if you want to change these features.

Turn on the keyboard by switching the "Power/Mode" switch to "Normal." Play the keyboard in "Normal" mode.

Set the volume by pressing the "Main Volume" button either up or down.

Change the tone or instrument. Choose the tone number from the tone list and press the "Tone" button. Type in the tone number with the number buttons.

Change the rhythm by finding the rhythm number, pressing the "Rhythm" button and typing the rhythm number with the number buttons.

Press the "Start/Stop" button to both start and stop the rhythm. Increase or decrease the rhythm tempo with the "Tempo" up and down arrows.

Play a song from the song bank by pressing the "Song Bank" button, select the song bank number and then type the number with the number buttons. Press the "Play/Pause" button to start the song.

Tune the keyboard. Press the "Transpose/Tune" button twice, then press the plus (+) and minus (-) buttons to change the setting.
