How to Put Music From iTunes to a Micro SD Card

Updated February 21, 2017

iTunes is a media player application that you can use to store and organise music on your computer. Music from iTunes is stored in the iTunes folder, which you can find in your computer's My Music Folder. A micro secure digital (SD) card is a type of removable flash memory that you can use with your computer to store music files. It is therefore possible to put music from your iTunes program on a MicroSD card.

Attach a MicroSD card reader to your computer. Card readers usually attach to an available USB port on your computer. Alternatively, many computers feature built-in MicroSD card readers.

Insert the MicroSD card into the MicroSD card reader

Select the MicroSD flash drive from the list of available drives on your computer to open the drive's folder.

Click the "My Music Folder," and select "iTunes"

Select the music files you want to transfer to the MicroSD card. If you want to select multiple music files, press and hold the "CTRL" key to select multiple music files.

Drag the file(s) from the iTunes folder to the MicroSD drive folder.

Wait while the music files are copied. Your computer will prompt you when the transfer is complete.

Remove the MicroSD card from the MicroSD card reader. You will now find the copied music files on the MicroSD card.
