SnagIt is an all-in-one screen capture utility developed by TechSmith software. SnagIt can be purchased as an online download or you can try it free for a limited trial period. You may need to uninstall the software for troubleshooting purposes or because your trial period has ended. In some cases, you may receive an error when trying to automatically uninstall SnagIt. To resolve this problem you can manually uninstall the product by deleting the SnagIt program folder and removing the SnagIt registry files.

Right-click the SnagIt icon in the system tray next to your clock, and then click "Exit SnagIt." This will disable SnagIt to allow removal.
Click "Start" and select "Computer."
Double-click "Local Disk C" and double-click the "Program Files" folder.
Right-click the "TechSmith" folder and click "Delete." Click "OK" on the confirmation dialogue.
Delete Program Files
Press the "Windows" and "R" keys simultaneously. This loads a Run command box.
Type "Regedit" in the Run box and then press "Enter." This loads the Windows Registry Editor.
Navigate to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\TechSmith" in the left pane. Right-click the "TechSmith" folder and click "Delete." Click "Yes" on the confirmation dialogue.
Navigate to "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\TechSmith" in the left pane. Right-click the "TechSmith" folder and click "Delete." Click "Yes" on the confirmation dialogue.
