How to upload music & make a playlist for free
Upload music and make a playlist for free. (mp3 hand image by giovanni cardinali from Fotolia.com)

Creating a music playlist allows you to listen to all of your favourite songs without having to change out your music CDs constantly. There are resources available online that will allow you to upload music from your CDs for free. You can then turn the songs from the CD into a playlist. You can listen to the playlist online from your own enjoyment. You can also allow your website visitors to enjoy your music by embedding the playlist onto your site.

Instructions

  1. 1

Create URL's (web addresses) for your music. To do this, you must upload music from your CD or computer onto a website server that allows you to host MP3 files for free. A few sites that will allow you to upload your music files for free are File Den, File Factory and File Dropper. To upload your music files, you will have to create a free user account.

  2. 2

Write down the URL for each music file that is uploaded onto the hosting company's server. An example of what your URL will look like is “http://www.yoursongname.mp3.”

  3. 3

Use an MP3 player “skin” to create your free playlist. You can get free skins through websites such as MixPod and My Flash Fetish. After you sign up for a free account, you can then select the skin you would like to use and insert the URLs for your uploaded songs. Click the “Save” option to save your playlist.

  4. 4

Copy the HTML code for the playlist if you want to embed the playlist on a website. You will see the HTML code located inside of a box that will allow you to copy it. You can then paste the HTML code inside of the HTML editor for your website to embed the music playlist.
