The Sony Ericsson C510 cell phone is part of Sony Ericsson's Cyber-shot series. The popular cell phone was one of the first mobile phones to come with integrated smile shutter technology, which enhanced the quality of cell phone pictures. The camera phone can also record video in 30 frames per second. Even with all its pluses, some users complain about Sony Ericsson's short battery life. Some batteries will even fail to respond to a charge. In order to replace the battery, you must first remove the cover.
Power off your Sony Ericsson C510 cell phone.
Unplug it from any power source.
Turn the phone face down. It's a good idea to place it on a cloth or other soft surface to prevent scratches on the faceplate.
Use your thumbs to slide the battery cover off. The battery cover is the only portion on the back of your C510 that can be moved easily with your hands. The cover should slide away from the phone, revealing the battery inside.
Remove the battery by pulling it up gently with your fingers.
