Yahoo, Google Gmail and Hotmail are popular amongst people who want free e-mail accounts. These e-mail services provide several useful features, including the ability to organise contacts into separate lists for ease of mailing. This feature allows e-mail users to send private messages to groups of people in their contact list with little more than a click. Users can create as many mailing lists as they wish.

Click "Contacts" then click "Add Category." Enter a name for the new category in the box titled "Category Name." Click "Save."
Click the "View All Contacts" button.
Check the boxes next to the names you wish to include in your new list.
Click "Add to Category." Choose the new category from the list. Click "Done."
Create a Mailing List in Yahoo
Click "Contacts" on the left panel of the page.
Click the groups icon at the top of the page. This icon has an image of two people on it.
Enter a name for the new group in the dialogue box. Click "OK."
Click "All Contacts." Click on the contact name and click the "Groups" button. Select the new group to add the contact to the list.

Click on "Categories" and select "New Category."
Type a name for the new category in the name box.
Begin typing the names of the contacts you wish to add to this list in the "Members" box. When you type the first letter of a name, a list will appear with all the names of your contacts whose name starts with that letter. Select the name you want from the list. Repeat this process until you have added all the contacts you wish to add. Click "Save."
