Why go to an expensive coffee shop to pay £4 for a latte or cappuccino? Replicate the taste of those pricey cafes at home by making your own coffee drinks. Several kitchen gadgets exist for getting foamy milk. Among these, is the Bodum Latteo milk frother. Just pour in the milk and in a few minutes, you have a frothy topping for your coffee.

  • 8 to 10 oz cold milk
  • Bodum Latteo Milk Frother
  • Spoon
  • Coffee

    Remove the plunger top from the frother.

    Pour 236 to 295ml of cold milk into the base.

    Replace the plunger lid, with the plunger in the up position.

    Twist the lid to close off the pour spout.

    Repeatedly push down and pull up on the plunger. Count each downward push on the plunger as one pump.

    Pump the plunger 60 to 90 times until you feel the milk thicken as you beat air into it.

    Let your arms and the milk rest for 1 minute after agitation.

    Remove the plunger lid and place in the dishwasher for cleaning.

    Microwave the milk in the jug on high for 30 to 50 seconds if desired or serve it cold.

    Use a spoon to scoop up the foam from inside milk frother to top or gently stir into your coffee.

Tips and warnings

  • For best results use ice cold cow's milk and avoid milk alternatives: soy, rice or almond milks.
