Every Valentines Day, couples are given the option of two things to gift their loved ones: flowers or candy. Why not combine the two ideas into a lovely bouquet made of candy wrappers? This guide will show you how to create your own candy wrapper bouquet for the person you love. The best part is, it requires you to eat the candy!

Skill level:
Moderately Easy

  1. 1

Unwrap the candy and preserve the wrappers. Candies that work best are peanut butter cups, lollipops and gummies.

  2. 2

Use peanut butter cup wrappers to make your blooms by hooking a green pipe cleaner through the bottom of the wrapper to look like a stem. Layer the inside of your cup with glue.

  3. 3

Fold your candy wrappers to look like petals. Do this by laying a wrapper flat and putting a balled up wrapper in the centre. Gather your flat wrapper around the balled up wrapper and tape or glue closed at the top. This will create a bulb effect.

  4. 4

Fill in your peanut butter cup wrapper with your petals. Use any wrapper you like, just make it colourful. Set these wrappers in the glue firmly and let dry.

  5. 5

Repeat Steps 2 through 4 until you have enough flowers to make a full bouquet.

  6. 6

Bunch candy wrappers (colour-side out) to make leaves. Green candy wrappers (like ones off of certain apple flavour lollipops) make great leaves. Attach these to your pipe cleaners using tape or glue. Allow to dry.

  7. 7

Gather your flowers and leaves together as desired to make a full bouquet. Use a rubber band to fasten your bouquet together. If desired, wrap the rubber band in decorative ribbon or a pretty pipe cleaner.

  8. 8

Wrap the bottom of your bouquet with decorative tissue paper. This will make it convenient and pretty to give to your loved one.

Tips and warnings

  • If you like, you can put real candy in with your bouquet. Fasten the uneaten candy to the pipe cleaners or even skewers and gather with your flowers. Uneaten lollipops in their wrappers look wonderful in candy bouquets because they look like little bulbs amongst the blooms.
  • Use pipe cleaners to make other decorative flowers to fill in with your bouquet.
