How to Remove Foam & Froth From Vitamix Soup

Updated November 21, 2016

Vitamix soup is a soup made in a Vitamix brand blender that is commonly sold on infomercials on television. The soups are designed to be easy to make, but some customers experience problems with the soup being too frothy or foamy. The Vitamix company outlines a few tips and tricks to eliminate this issue to ensure that their customers are happy with their products.

Purchase a gravy separator at a department store or a store that specialises in kitchen supplies and accessories. Spoon as much froth and foam as possible from the top of the soup. Pour the remaining soup into the gravy separator and filter into a container that can be reheated such as a pan or microwave safe bowl.

Mix soup ingredients at a lower speed than usual to reduce the amount of air that gets into the mixture. Stir after cooking. Allow soup mixture to sit for one minute to settle.

Put a drop of vegetable oil into the mixture before blending.

Turn the blender down to low speed after the soup is hot and ready. Put the hot soup into the blender and let it run for one minute. Add oil or fat to the soup at this point.
