The HP Business Inkjet 2800 printer series can print up to 24 pages-per-minute for black-and-white documents and 21 pages-per-minute for colour documents. If you use the device for everyday printing, the last thing you want to encounter is a printer problem. You need to understand the most common problems that may arise with your HP Inkjet 2800 printer.
Before using the printer with your computer, install the HP 2800 printer driver so the device can communicate with the computer. If you already installed the driver to the computer but it cannot recognise the device, there may be a printer driver conflict or you need to update or reinstall the printer driver.
Paper Jam Errors
A paper jam error prevents you from printing documents. To clear a paper jam error with your Inkjet 2800, unplug the power cord from the printer, remove the rear access panel and grasp any pieces of paper stuck inside the device. If you cannot reach the jammed paper from there, pull out the tray feeder and gently pull the paper toward you. Close all printer covers and press the Resume button.
Ink Cartridge Problems
If the printer starts producing faded outputs, you may need to install a new ink cartridge or clean the print head. Consider only using genuine HP cartridges to avoid low quality printouts and possible problems that remanufactured or refilled ink cartridges may cause.
