Hi! I'm Morgan McColum and I'm with Twilight Pizza Bistro. And I'm here to teach you how to clean a pizza baking stone. Okay, to clean a pizza baking stone, basically all you're going to need is a sink with some warm water, a rubber plastic spatula (something gentle, don't use metal), and your average everyday little scrubby that you can get at the store. Okay? So if you've got small chunks of dried material, whatever you know, cookies, pizza, whatever maybe stuck on here. Just take your spatula and gently scrape those pizza those pieces off. And then once that's done, you can turn on your warm water, take your scrubby. You don't want to use soap on a pizza stone ever. The nice thing about the pizza stone is it continues to absorb all those things that you've put on, all those yummy flavors, and you don't want to take that off with soap. So you just very lightly scrub the surface of that. It's a little bit like cast iron. You don't have to get it completely off, just lightly scrub. Get all the food particles off but don't take the curing off. Okay? And that's pretty much all there is to it. As you can see, you can see how that thing is just resisting the water. That's what it's supposed to look like. That means that has a lot of oil in there and that nothing will stick to it. This is very well cured pizza stone, that's why it's like that. Okay! And once you've cleaned it and it's you can turn your water off. Just take a paper towel or a kitchen towel. Make sure that's dried very thoroughly and you're ready for your next use.
