You hate shaving unwanted hair from your body. You have used shaving cream and a razor for years to get rid of the hair growth. From creams to electrolysis, you have done it all to rid your skin of hair. You wonder if there is a permanent way of getting rid of unwanted hair. There is a way of permanently removing hair and it doesn't require any expensive solutions. An easy-to-make remedy of turmeric powder and other herbs will have your skin hair free in less than a year.

Making the Turmeric Mixture

Mix ¼ tbsp of turmeric powder, ¼ tbsp of papaya powder, ¼ tbsp of gram flour, 2 tbsp of mustard oil, 4 tbsp of Aloe Vera gel (thin consistency) and 2 drops of lavender (another essential oil can be substituted) in a large bowl or plastic container. Stir the ingredients into a paste. The turmeric mixture can be kept in the refrigerator. Just make sure you cover it with a lid or plastic wrap.

Applying the Turmeric Mixture

Apply the paste to the unwanted hair in the opposite direction of the hair's growth. Let the mixture sit on your skin for 20 minutes. Then remove the turmeric paste with a clean cloth in the direction opposite to the hair growth. Use a circular motion when removing so the mixture can penetrate into the hair. Rinse your skin with cold water. Apply baby oil to soothe the skin, if any irritation is present.

Apply the turmeric mixture three times a week for the next three months. The unwanted hair should be gone by the fourth month. If not, keep applying the turmeric mixture until the hair is no longer present.

Turmeric and Milk Mixture

For a basic hair removing turmeric mixture, ideal for facial hair, mix 1 tbsp of turmeric powder with 1 tbsp of milk in a small bowl. Apply the mixture to your face or other area with unwanted hair. Let the mixture sit for five minutes. Scrub the turmeric/milk mixture off with a clean cloth by moving your fingers in a circular motion so the mixture can penetrate into the hair. Wash the area with cold water after the mixture has been removed. Repeat the application daily until the unwanted hair is gone.

Note, if you have oily skin, you can use water or rose water instead of milk.

Issues With Turmeric

Note, turmeric may leave a yellowish tone on your skin. To avoid this, purchase facial turmeric--Kasturi Manjal or Gopuram instead of turmeric geared toward food preparation. Facial turmeric is found in health food and vitamin stores as well as some international food stores.
