Hi, I'm Carol Ann, your fitness expert from Tampa, Florida. And here are a few tips on how to lose a pot belly. Now, the materials we are going to need is water, good healthy food, exercise equipment and a nice, relaxing place. First of all in order to lose a pot belly you are going to want to limit your alcohol. Beer, wine, whatever that is for you just keep it limited. Next, you want to replace that with lots of healthy foods and reduce the number of bad carbohydrates you are taking in. So, lots of fruits and vegetables, whole grains are great healthy foods for you. Next, you are going to want to exercise. Now, you can't just pick and choose what exercise you want to do, you have to do it all. You need to incorporate cardio into your exercise routine. You got to burn those excess calories that are stored as fat. And then you want to also incorporate weight training so that you can keep that metabolism stoked. Your muscles are metabolically active so the more you train them the more calories you are going to burn and the more you are going to reduce that pot belly. Also you want to get in some functional training where you are utilizing that core. So, you want to really work that center when you are reducing your pot belly. Next, you want to make sure you get plenty of sleep because when you get plenty of sleep your body rejuvenates and you are able to burn more calories the more rested you are. And then next reduce stress. When you are under a lot of stress your body produces cortisol and that is the hormone that enables you to hold fat right around that abdominal area. So, you want to avoid that. So, you want to make sure that you lead a stress less life. And that is how you are going to lose your pot belly.
