Even a fairly simple gift when presented with flair can become an impressive present choice. A basic chocolate bar can be transformed to a fun and entertaining gift when some creativity and extra planning are incorporated. Put a new spin on the classic chocolate bar to create a gift that stands out, and not just for being tasty.

Candy Purse

A chocolate bar can easily be transformed into an essential accessory with a small purchase from a craft store. Turn the chocolate bar into a chocolate bar purse with a piece of yarn. Attach the ends of the piece of yarn to either side of the chocolate bar. The loop created can be worn over the recipient's shoulder as a bag. This creates a fun and unconventional carrying method for the chocolate bar rather than simply holding it in your hand.

Candy Necklace

Put a fresh spin on the classic candy necklace by utilising miniature candy bars to create your own. Use a long piece of yarn to form the necklace and tie a miniature chocolate bar to the necklace one at a time until the yarn is covered with candy. Leave a couple inches bare at either end so the recipient can still tie the necklace around their neck.

Candy Robot

Create a simple toy utilising candy bars as building blocks. Since robots traditionally have angular, block shapes, candy bars are well suited as the components to creating one. Stack and position the candy bars to form the feet, legs, torso, arms and head of a robot, using tape to secure the bars in place. Although candy bars are a relatively simple gift, the presentation of the bars in the form of a small robot will make them stand out.

Candy Card

In lieu of purchasing a traditional, paper card for the recipient, craft your own edible card using two candy bars. Select two wide and flat candy bars to form the front and back flap of the card. Hold the candy bars on top of each other and adhere the two left edges together using a strip of duct tape. The two candy bars should now fold open like a book. Write your sentiments on pieces of paper, cut to fit within the size of the chocolate bar, and tape them to the inside and front of the candy card.
