A long distance relationship can be difficult, and this is especially true if your boyfriend is in the military, because he may be in a different time zone or have a different schedule that makes communication difficult. Air force care packages are a great way to boost his spirit and remind him that you are thinking about him. To find care package ideas, think of his favourite items that he may not have access to, or simple items to remind him of home.

Pictures

The hardest part of a long distance relationship is being away from his life at home. For this reason, pictures that keep him up to date with home life will surely warm his heart. Include pictures of you, perhaps with a sign that says you miss him and love him; a picture in his favourite outfit; or a picture in your favourite spot with a sign that says "It's not the same without you." Pictures of his friends and family should also be part of the package. Take pictures of his mom and dad, best friends and pets. Each person can then write a special note to him on the back of the picture.

Baked Goods

Though baked goods can be tricky to send long distances, there is no better reminder of home. If he has a favourite pastry that you make, send it to him in a sealed container (using a vacuum sealer) to remove all the air. This will help it stay fresh longer. This can also be done if he has a favourite item from a local restaurant that he might be craving. However, be practical. A greasy hamburger is not going to ship well; this is why it is better to use dry baked goods that tend to last longer and taste good without being heated up.

Blanket or Pillowcase

Most likely, your significant other is greatly missing the comforts of home while he's on duty. Not just his comfortable bed or couch, but also the smells that are associated with his house. For this reason, a cosy blanket or pillowcase makes a great Air Force care package gift. A new throw blanket or soft pillowcase can be purchased in a comfortable fabric, and then washed in the washing powder and fabric softener that he uses at home. His favourite perfume of yours can be sprayed on the items after they are washed so they will linger while he sleeps at night. A dryer sheet can also be tucked inside the pillowcase or blanket to keep the scent fresh as well.
