It may look like a bland liquid, but tonic water enhances beverages with a zest of flavour. Tonic water combines with fruit juices adding carbonation and a bittersweet flavour for non-alcoholic spritzers, martinis, rocks drinks and punch. Replace sugary, soft drinks and booze with fruit and less caloric tonic water for guilt-free consumption that all ages can enjoy.
Replace alcohol ingredients with fruit juices, pre-made mixes, freshly squeezed fruit, muddled fruit or herbs and simple syrup or grenadine.
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Pour 59.1 to 118ml. of the alcohol substitution into the shaker. Add 1/4 cup of ice. Place the top on the shaker and shake the contents vigorously.
Strain the liquid into a martini or daiquiri glass or fill a rocks glass halfway with ice. Add about 113gr. of tonic water. Garnish the drink with a fruit wedge or maraschino cherry.
